Did  yesterday's little adventure ever take it out of me!  I didn't wake up until 12h00!  The kids were up around 10h00 and I woke up briefly with them but still needed to get some more sleep.  The kids did a good job of feeding themselves breakfast of cereal and fruit.  Then they busied themselves playing card games and with their toys.  I downloaded all of yesterday's pictures out of the camera today and noticed how the camera really does seem to download the pictures slowly.  I went digging around in the settings for the application on the computer and it was set to 9600 baud!  What?!  I upped that to 15500 and sure enough the camera is capable to that kind of transmission speed.  I'm hoping now that this will help in conserving battery power.  In addition to not making the download process so painfully long!  I just wish I had thought of this a couple of months ago!  Oh well, better late than never.

Mr. Nelson came out of the building and the kids saw him before I did.  We spoke briefly with him but he was on his way to the supermarket to do some shopping.  Apparently the stores are open today.  We headed off ourselves in a fruitless search to find Kristie a new swimsuit.  The one that was packed up for her, is as I found out to my horror, is tattered and full of holes.  I will be speaking with the packer soon about this.  As it turns out, all the department stores have set up their displays for fall and winter clothing.  And the only place that had swimsuits didn't have them in Kristie's size.  Hopefully we can find some in Napoli when we get there because the kids do want to hit the beach.

We did come across a fan in one of the electronic stores so we bought it.  The past couple of days have been hotter than usual and with no wind blowing through the apartment it gets a bit stifling.  This evening a rain did start downpouring.  The heaviest rain I had seen here yet.  But it blew through rather quickly and now all is quiet outside.  The kids have only 6 days left here in Trento so tomorrow we are going to walk down to the river Adige and see what that looks like up close.
