Today started out brisk and cool. The sun was shining brightly.
Tom had to meet with the owner to finish signing the paperwork for his
apartment. The kids and I split for Molveno again. This is
our third trip to Molveno.
We
do seem to like this place! But it is probably the last time we will
make a trip up to here since we still have some other places to see.
At least the kids got a chance to get minigolf out of their system.
We tried to sit down and have lunch but the kitchen had closed at 14h30!
Man, it's getting tougher and tougher to get a meal as more and more Italians
go on vacation.
We ended up getting panini which wasn't really filling. We watched
some more parasailers coming down from the mountain tops. The kids
also liked playing in the many parks here. It is amazing how many
parks there are! On the bus ride back into Trento we met a woman
that is a teacher and from New York City. She heard us speaking American
and she hooked up with us. She has been travelling since the beginning
of July making her way up Italy. It was good to have met her too
because she had thoroughly researched her trip before leaving and left
us with a lot of good info on places to go and see around here. So
one of these weekends we will be following her footsteps.
We got home and ate dinner. A few days ago I bought a new BIG
pot to cook in. It sure is nice having a BIG pot again. It's
been frustrating trying to cook pasta in these little pots the owner has
in the apartment. And we also bought one of those fancy can openers
that cuts the can from the side. It actually works quite well.
Unfortunately, I'm probably going to have to give most of this stuff away
to someone here before I leave. I don't think I'll be able to manage
bringing all these neat kitchen things back with me (especially if wine
is taking up space in my backpack -grin).
