Alexandre Polozoff - Tangiers - Left Luggage

One thing most travellers want to do is to lock up their bags at a train station. The only problem in Tangiers is there are no lockers. The only thing that is available is a shabby looking hole in the wall. Most guides will take you to this place. I refused to leave my luggage there as did other people. It turns out to have been the right thing to do.

Some other travellers we met on the street said that they had made the mistake of leaving their bags and when it came time to pick them up the shop keeper wanted the equivalent of $20US for each piece! We are talking about a country where the overnight rain trip from Tangiers to Casablanca is only $10. So the advice is to steer clear of any left luggage facilities and carry your bags with you. If you have too many bags then you may have to sit at the train station, you're only safe haven in Tangiers. There are lockers at the train station in Algercias, Spain so that may be the safest places for you bags.
