Post World Trade Center Hijackings
Proposal on Nationwide Registration

In light of the recent hijackings I propose we (the citizens of the United States) adopt already common police registration of the entire population of the United States and all those entering this country.

Mandatory Registration


• All hotel, campground, trailer park guests must provide a passport (primarily for foreign nationals) or a social security card which is recorded with the local police department.
  
  
• Each person (citizen and non-citizen) residing in the United States must register with the local police department showing proof of citizenship or passport of the country of origin. For non-citizens the police will record any visa information including visa expiration. All holders of expired visas must return showing proof of visa extension. Failure to update the police registration with proof of visa extension is immediate deportation.
  
  
• Police registration receipt is required of all employees before they can assume a new job. Before proof of eligibility to work the police registration receipt must be produced. Any employer found to hire employees without a police registration receipt face imprisionment and forefeiture of assets.
  
  
• All schools, universities and educational institutions must verify all police registration receipts of all students in attendance.
  
  
• All landlords and heads of household must verify that tenants, guests or not have police registration within 3 business days of arrival and to report any non-compliance. Penalty for failure to report non-compliance is forfeiture of all property and assets and mandatory imprisonment. For foreign national landlords or heads of household, violation would be immediate deportation and future denial of entry into the United States.
  
  
• Upon moving out of a dwelling the tenant must de-register with the police and provide forwarding information.
  
  
• Police departments would be required to enter all information into a nationwide database that contains all registration information including scanned images of the documents used as proof of identity.
  
  
• Social security cards should be updated to have the holder's image. All US Citizens should be required to have their social security card with them at all times and must provide the card upon demand by any law enforcement official. Foreign nationals must have their passport with them at all times and must produce the documentation upon demand by any law enforcement official.
